My Name is Thom “T-Man” Brandon and Chewy is my companion Chesapeake Bay retriever.  I am a retired Law Enforcement Officer [LEO], Navy Veteran (diver), long time Martial Artist, and long time gear head. 

I’m originally from Detroit, but now live in the south.  My LEO background includes Vice/Narcotics, Street Crimes, Special Response Teams, and trainer of officer survival, firearms, special tactics, and diving. 

My wife is a former LEO (nine years in the street) that is now head of accounting for a beach vacation rental company.  She is also well known in the pandemic flu community and blogs at A Pandemic Chronicle.  My son has been a LEO for four years and is now a Special Teams member and Police Firearms Instructor [certified].

Chewy is my 3 year old Chesapeake Bay retriever originally purchased as a champion bred show dog, his mother has been best of breed at Westminster, but his only job is as my constant companion.  He’s a gorgeous animal and great company, but brains would have cost an extra $1000.

I will be presenting my views on urban survival awareness, emergency preparation for natural disasters, 2nd amendment rights alerts, motorcycle rider rights alerts, discussions on firearms and firearms training for self defense, collector car happenings, and anything else that may fit in here that intrigues me or receive inquiries on.  Chewy will occasionally share his opinion and perspective as well.

My thoughts and opinions will be colored by my background and experiences as a person that grew up on the streets of Detroit and career in Law Enforcement.  I will also post information I have obtained/or will obtain from other trainers that I respect.

I have, and continue, to offer advice on firearms, self defense, and home security to my wife and her fellow pandemic specialists and hope to offer some salient advice to people looking for it on this site.  So let’s see where this journey takes us.
